How the CBD Benefit Works Within ACO REACH
Your organization elects the benefit by including it in your program participation agreement with CMS. You then submit an implementation plan describing which products you'll use, dosing protocols, how you'll determine patient eligibility, and your distribution and safeguard processes. CMS approves the plan. You order wholesale from a compliant supplier. Your physicians distribute products directly to eligible patients. The organization absorbs the product cost through the program structure.

Your organization maintains records of which patients received products, what products were provided, when they were provided, and the total value distributed.
