Where Cotton Still Wins
A fair comparison has to admit where cotton comes out ahead, and it does in a few real ways. Cotton is cheaper at the register, full stop, because the supply chain has had a century-long head start and the crop is grown at enormous scale. It's also softer out of the box, so it's the easier sell for a baby blanket or a first layer against sensitive skin. And you can find cotton anywhere, in every weight and color, while hemp apparel is still a smaller and more specialized market.
If your priority is the lowest upfront price or the softest possible first wear, cotton is the rational pick. Hemp's case is built on the long view: cost per year of use, not cost per tag.
What This Comparison Looks Like From Our Farm
