3. Farm Bill compliance documentation. The brand should be able to provide a Farm Bill compliance letter confirming their hemp source is a licensed grower under a state or federal hemp program.

4. Transparent THC reporting. The COA should show both delta-9 THC percentage AND total THC per serving. If only delta-9 is reported, ask for total THC data before buying.

5. USDA Organic or equivalent quality documentation. USDA Organic is the strongest certification available for hemp. At minimum, look for a non-organic brand that can show farming practices documentation.

6. Current COAs. Lab reports should be dated within the last 12 months and should correspond to the specific batch in your hands, not a generic product test.
