Wholesale Hemp Farms Calls for Immediate Congressional Action to Save America Hemp Industry

At Wholesale Hemp Farms, we’ve always embraced smart and robust regulation in the U.S. hemp industry; strict third-party testing, safe manufacturing process requirements, truth in labeling, bans on synthetic THC, and strong measures to keep products out of the hands of children. Since the 2018 Farm Bill, we’ve done everything the right way, following every rule and regulation to the letter. We’ve poured in the blood, sweat, and tears it takes to stay afloat in an industry defined by constant legal changes and market swings.

The last-minute bill to reopen the government included language that will ban more than 95% of all hemp extract products, and will critically limit the compliant, non-intoxicating hemp flower strains that we grow and produce at our Central Kentucky farm. Thousands of consumers nationwide have turned to our safe products as an alternative to typical-white pill pharmaceuticals, seeking relief from stress, anxiety, pain, inflammation, migraines, insomnia, PTSD, and seizures. Real people seeing life changing benefits after finding our hemp flower. The damaging hemp language passed was fueled by misinformation, false claims and unrelated political manipulation. U.S. Senators were pledged that this bill protects non-intoxicating CBD products, which is simply untrue... the large majority of non-intoxicating CBD products on the marketplace feature more than 0.4 mg of THC per container. They were promised that this would crack down on fully synthetic products and copycat, high THC products that are marketed to kids, however prohibition without regulation will force these products directly to the black markets. Many Senators were alarmed by claims that this hemp standoff would lead to a longer government shutdown, forcing some advocates to vote against hemp to speed along the government’s opening.

The next 365 days are vital for the future of hemp in the United States. As a long-standing, trusted name in the industry, we are dedicated to providing Congress the authentic story of hemp - how it improves lives, the jobs it creates, and the farming communities it supports. We need Congress to act immediately to protect the good actors within the industry and keep the bad actors out. This isn’t politics, it’s payroll, harvests, alternative medicines, and real lives. Please join us in saving American hemp.
